Art Institute of Chicago Workers United
Get Out the Vote
Art Institute of Chicago Workers United (AICWU) advocates for an equitable, sustainable, and transparent workplace for all employees. To achieve these values, staff at the museum and school have decided to form our unions with AFSCME Council 31. Both the employees of Art Institute of Chicago and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago won their unions in January of 2022 with almost 80% vote margins.

The PLRI created a video to turn out public support for local staff with a call-to-action to write “UnionYes” on your next coffee and share a picture with #UnionYes and #IBEWStrong.
